On the afternoon of September 3rd, the opening ceremony of 2023 freshmen of Qiuzhen College of Tsinghua University was held in the back hall of the main building of Tsinghua University. In his speech, Jiang Peixue first welcomed the undergraduate and graduate students of the Year-Number-3 class of Qiuzhen College to Tsinghua. The discipline of information and biomedicine would provide good application scenarios for talent training, and propose important issues such as mechanism analysis and mathematical modeling for the development of mathematical science. He hoped that through the establishment of the joint doctoral training program of Qiuzhen College-Department of Automation, it would an opportunity for more teachers and students of Qiuzhen College to explore the cross projects of mathematics and information subjects, and make some disruptive innovations and development.
