Tsinghua News, March 27 (Reporter Qu Tian, Photographer Li Pai, Sun Bo) On March 26, internationally renowned mathematician, Fields Medal winner, Tsinghua University Chair Professor and dean of the Qiuzhen college, Yau Shing-Tung, made a donation to Tsinghua University to set up the " Chun-Ying Yau Fund" and " Ruo-Lin Liang Fund" in the Tsinghua University Education Foundation, which are named after his parents, to support the development of the discipline of mathematics, the training of new generation of leading talents and the construction of the Qiuzhen college. Qiu Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University and Chairman of the Education Foundation, Yau Shing-Tung, and Caucher Birkar, Fields Medalist and Professor of the Center for Mathematical Sciences, attended the ceremony.
