YMSC seminar on complex algebraic geometry | Existence of Stable Higgs-de Rham Flow for Principal Bundles

Abstract

Lan-Sheng-Zuo established the Hitchin-Simpson correspondence in characteristic p. In this correspondence, semistable graded Higgs bundles with vanishing chern classes are related to crystalline representations with the help of periodic Higgs-de Rham flow. In this talk, we will give the construction of Higgs-de Rham flows for principal bundles and discuss the existence of such flows under stable conditions.

Speaker

My primary research interest is algebraic geometry. In my Ph.D program, I focused on Hurwitz number. Now I am working on Higgs bundles, especially nonabelian Hodge correspondence and Hitchin fibrations.

      MCM-YMSC p-adic Geometry Learning Seminar | Higgs–de Rham flow

Abstract:We study rigid connections in the Spring of 2024.The main goal of this seminar is to study various results around rigid connections: existence of a Frobenius structure on a rigid connection due to Esnault–Groechenig [EG23], application to Simpson's integral conjecture, and the Fourier transform algorithm for rigid connections on the projective line due to Katz and Arinkin [Ari10].[Ari...

YMSC seminar on complex algebraic geometry | Local equations defining stable map moduli, arbitrary singularities, and resolution

Abstract:I will explain the matrix local equations defining the moduli spaces of stable maps of arbitrary genus, found jointly by Jun Li and the speaker. These equations already guided us to find explicit global resolutions for these moduli spaces in the cases when the genera are one and two. By Murphy’s law, stable map moduli possess arbitrary singularities. Turning to this, I will explain La...
