Minimal Surfaces and Alternating Multi-Zetas

Abstract:

In my talk I will construct closed minimal surfaces (of genus g>1) in the round 3-sphere using (complex) curves in the moduli space of flat connections. When computing the area of these surfaces alternating multiple Zeta values appears and the knowledge about those help us to prove some geometric theorems.
