Title:

Mass Lower Bounds for asymptotically locally flat 4-manifolds

Abstract:

The mass, a crucial global geometric invariant, intricately relates with scalar curvature in the different setting. I will explain the relation between asymptotically locally flat (ALF) 4-manifolds and their ADM mass. Specifically, I will talk about how the topology at infinity influences the ADM mass within the ALF setting.

Locally stable degenerations of log Calabi-Yau pairs

Abstract We study the birational boundedness of special fibers of log Calabi-Yau fibrations and Fano fibrations. We show that for a locally stable family of Fano varieties or polarised log Calabi-Yau pairs over a curve, if the general fiber satisfies some natural boundedness conditions, then every irreducible component of the special fiber is birationally bounded.About the speaker 焦骏鹏,清华...

A Theory of Quantum Differential Equation Solver: From Lower Bounds to Fast-Forwarding

Quantum computers are naturally good at simulating unitary quantum systems, yet their potential to solve a broader class of non-quantum dynamical problems involving dissipation or driving remains an open question. We try to answer a core question: w without imposing extra structural assumptions, what are the fundamental boundaries of quantum speed-up?This talk will first examine the general lim...
