Title:

Wall crossing for moduli of stable pairs

Abstract:

Hassett showed that there are natural reduction morphisms between moduli spaces of weighted pointed stable curves when we reduce weights. I will discuss some joint work with Ziquan Zhuang which constructs similar morphisms between moduli of stable pairs in higher dimension.

About the speaker:

Fanjun Meng is a Postdoctoral Scholar supported by a Simons Collaboration Grant in the Department of Mathematics at University of California San Diego. He is supervised by Professor James McKernan.

Previously, he was a J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics in June 2022 under the supervision of Professor Mihnea Popa.

Locally stable degenerations of log Calabi-Yau pairs

Abstract We study the birational boundedness of special fibers of log Calabi-Yau fibrations and Fano fibrations. We show that for a locally stable family of Fano varieties or polarised log Calabi-Yau pairs over a curve, if the general fiber satisfies some natural boundedness conditions, then every irreducible component of the special fiber is birationally bounded.About the speaker 焦骏鹏,清华...

Shafarevich's program and the moduli of stable minimal models

AbstractIn this talk I will introduce how Prof. Birkar's construction of compact moduli spaces of stable minimal models is used to give a generalization of Shafarevich's program to higher dimensional families with fibers of an arbitrary Kodaira dimension
