Title:

Efficient Gibbs Sampler and Its Optimal Transport Approach

Abstract:

Since the breakthrough work on efficient Gibbs samplers [CKBG23], significant progress has been made to understand the mixing time of quantum thermalization. Recent results realize rapid mixing (in poly(log n) time) at high temperature [RFA24][BLMT25], and fast mixing (in poly(n) time) for one dimensional system[BC25]. In this seminar, we will briefly review the current landscape and focus in particular on the optimal transport method [CGKR24][BLMT25].
