Abstract

The subject of analogue (or simulated) gravity has become a large area with the number of papers being of the order of a thousand. I will discuss a few types of analogues focussing on the relation between the actual gravitational field and and a fluid simulation of the field. In a sense this is directly related to specific coordinate systems for the gravitational field.

Concrete simulations for the Schwarzschild and Kerr gravitational fields will be presented. At the end of the talk I will also present a demonstrational analogue of the Schwarzschild field which relates to recent astronomical observations.

      Gravity: bulk, boundary, corners

AbstractI will review four-dimensional gravity in the coframe-and-connection formulation (a.k.a. Palatini–Cartan formalism) and what it entails on boundaries (e.g., on Cauchy surfaces) and on corners (e.g., surfaces at infinity or surfaces around singularities in space). This full analysis will require the BV, the BFV and related formalisms and their interplay.About the speakerAlberto Cattaneo...

Some random recursive systems in probability theory

AbstractI am going to make elementary discussions on some random recursive systems in probability theory. These systems have very simple forms, for which most mathematical questions remain yet unanswered.Shi Zhan 施展Academy of Mathematics and System ScienceChinese Academy of Sciences施展,中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员。他本科毕业于中国科学技术大学数学系,在巴黎第六大学获得数学硕士和博士...
