#Abstract

Artin—Tits groups are certain groups defined either algebraically as lifts (throwing away s^2 = 1) of Coxeter groups, or topologically as fundamental groups of complexified hyperplane complements associated Coxeter systems. Unlike Coxeter groups, however, these groups have remained “mysterious”, with many group theoretical problems remain open. In this talk, I will discuss how triangulated categories and Bridgeland stability conditions offer new perspectives into these groups. This is based on joint works with Anthony Licata and Oded Yacobi.

The Langlands program for Classical Groups

AbstractA major achievement in the Langlands program is Arthur's 2013 book on the endoscopic classification of square-integrable automorphic forms of (quasi-split) classical groups. In the first lecture, I will summarize the main results of this book and some key ingredients of their proofs. In particular, some of the ingredients were at that point in time anticipated but not yet fully written ...
