Introduction

This course will offer a fundamental understanding of security of block ciphers.

Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is currently one of the most researched block ciphers in academia and widely used both in government and in commerce. Considering this fact, the explanations in this course are mainly oriented to the security of AES.

Lecturer Intro

Brief Introduction to Tensor Network algorithms

IntroductionThis course will focus on the basic concepts and representative algorithms of tensor networks. For 1D tensor networks, we will introduce the Matrix Product State(MPS) and its Density Matrix Renormalization Group algorithm(DMRG), Time Evolution Block Decimation algorithm(TEBD), etc. For high-dimensional tensor networks, we will include the Projected Entangled Pair States (PEPS) and i...

      Gabor analysis

AbstractTime-frequency analysis deals with localized Fourier transforms. Gabor analysis is a branch of time-frequency analysis. It shares with the wavelet transform methods the ability to describe the smoothness of a given function in a location-dependent way.The main tool is the sliding window Fourier transform or short-time Fourier transform (STFT). It describes the correlation of a signal wi...
