Mao Sheng is a professor at YMSC, Tsinghua University. He got his PhD from Chinese University of Hong Kong under supervision of Conan Leung and Shing-Tung Yau. His research field is Algebraic Geometry.

摘要

In this lecture, I will share with my audience the briefs on the lives of three masters in algebraic geometry, van der Waerden from Netherlands, Shafarevich from Russia and Mumford from USA.
