Abstract

Recent years have witnessed an explosion of studies of the non-invertible symmetries in various dimensions. In this talk, I will revisit the most vanilla type of non-invertible symmetry — Kramers-Wannier duality symmetry in (1+1)d, from three different perspectives: 1. lattice; 2. field theory; 3. Symmetry TFT. I will explain the construction of non-invertible defects, their fusion rules, and F-symbols.

  • [BIMSA-Tsinghua Quantum Symmetry Seminar] Brascamp-Lieb inequalities and their related problems

Abstract:The Brascamp-Lieb inequalities are deep and beautiful inequalities on Euclidean spaces introduced by Brascamp and Lieb in 1976. They cover many fundamental and important inequalities such as Hölder's inequality, the Loomis-Whitney inequality, Young's inequality, etc. In this talk we give a short introduction to the Brascamp-Lieb inequalities and their applications. We prove one type o...
