Abstract

The TTbar deformation is a solvable irrelevant deformation whose properties depend on the sign of the deformation parameter μ. In particular, TTbar-deformed CFTs with μ<0 have been proposed by McGough, Mezei and H. Verlinde to be holographically dual to Einstein gravity with a finite Dirichlet cutoff. In this work, we put forward a holographic proposal for TTbar-deformed CFTs with μ>0, in which case the bulk dual geometry is constructed by gluing a patch of AdS3 to the original spacetime. We provide various evidence for this extended holography, including matches of the TTbar trace flow equation, the spectrum, and the partition function on the bulk and the boundary.

String, Geometry Seminar at BIMSA | Extremal surfaces in glue-on AdS/TTbar holography

AbstractTTbar is a solvable irrelevant deformation that leads to interesting properties such as nonlocality. When applied to a CFT, the effects of TTbar can be studied via cutoff and glue-on holography. In this talk, we will first introduce the glue-on geometry, which reveals many interesting features of TTbar deformed CFTs that were previously inaccessible through cutoff holography. We then in...

On the universal behavior of TTbar-deformed CFTs | Joint HEP-TH Seminar

AbstractThe torus partition function of TTbar-deformed CFTs is modular invariant. Using this fact, it is shown that TTbar-deformed CFTs exhibit a universal free energy in the high temperature limit and a universal spectrum in the high energy limit. In this work, we show that a much stronger form of universality holds in TTbar-deformed CFTs with a large central charge c for both the double and s...
