Abstract

TTbar is a solvable irrelevant deformation that leads to interesting properties such as nonlocality. When applied to a CFT, the effects of TTbar can be studied via cutoff and glue-on holography. In this talk, we will first introduce the glue-on geometry, which reveals many interesting features of TTbar deformed CFTs that were previously inaccessible through cutoff holography. We then introduce a systematic study of the extremal surfaces in glue-on AdS, following the Ryu-Takayanagi formula. The glue-on RT proposal is able to detect features of the TTbar deformation, such as the emergence of a minimal length scale. This talk is based on 2303.04836 and 2311.04883.

Glue-on AdS holography for TTbar-deformed CFTs

AbstractThe TTbar deformation is a solvable irrelevant deformation whose properties depend on the sign of the deformation parameter μ. In particular, TTbar-deformed CFTs with μ...

BIMSA String Theory Seminar | Landscape, Swampland and Geometry

AbstractMany instances have recently been found on the intriguing interplay between string landscape and algebraic geometry via the swampland program. In this talk, we will exemplify such an interplay. Specifically, by addressing universal properties of compact elliptic Calabi-Yau (d+1)-folds, we will test out some of the swampland conjectures for all possible effective QFT models of F-theory i...
