Beyond the movable cone

Morrison proposed a version of the cone conjecture for the nef cones of Calabi-Yau manifolds which was inspired by mirror symmetry. Later in his paper "Beyond the Kähler cone", he proposed a movable cone conjecture. The two cone conjectures were generalized by Kawamata and by Totaro from the viewpoint of birational geometry. In the last section of the same paper, Morrison suggested to go "beyond the movable cone". In this talk, I will explain such an attempt based on the joint work with Cécile Gachet, Hsueh-Yung Lin and Isabel Stenger.

Morrison-Kawamata cone conjecture for Calabi-Yau fiber spaces

AbstractIn this talk, I will explain the relationship between the Morrison-Kawamata cone conjecture for Calabi-Yau fiber spaces and the existence of Shokurov polytopes. For K3 fibrations, this enables us to establish the existence of (weak) fundamental domains for movable cones. This is joint work with Hang Zhao.Speaker李展, 南方科技大学助理教授,研究方向为代数几何,特别是双有理几何。2014年博...
