About the speaker:

Mr. Martin Hairer, Austrian-British, born in Nov 1975, won Fields medal in the year of 2014, and has tremendous contribution to stochastic analysis, in particular stochastic partial differential equations. He also warded the Whitehead Prize by the London Mathematical Society and the Philip Leverhulme Prize in 2008. Received the Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award in 2009. Honored with the Prix Fermat in 2013. Awarded the Breakthrough Prize in Mathematics (2021 edition) in 2020. Warded King Faisal Prize and Erwin Schrodinger Institute Medal in 2022.

Mr. Martin Hairer has been awarded multiple prestigious fellowships in recognition of his outstanding contributions to mathematics: Elected Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS), UK in 2014; Elected Member of the German National Academy of Sciences and Member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in 2015; Elected Member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Germany in 2016; Elected Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2018; Elected Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021.
