AbstractIn this talk I will introduce how Prof. Birkar's construction of compact moduli spaces of stable minimal models is used to give a generalization of Shafarevich's program to higher dimensional families with fibers of an arbitrary Kodaira dimension
AbstractI will survey some recent progress towards the minimal model program for foliations. In particular, assuming termination of (classical) flips in dimension r, we show that flips exist for any algebraically integrable foliation of rank r with log canonical singularities.
