Organizers:
Yong Suk Moon, Koji Shimizu
Speaker:
Kimyeong Lee (BIMSA)
Time:
Thur., 12:00-13:00, Nov. 20, 2025
Venue:
BIMSA A4-1
Title:
L-functions and Physics
Abstract:
Some fundamental aspects of number theory is a playground of quantum mechanics. I will present certain connections between L-functions and quantum mechanics, and some questions arising naturally.
About the speaker:
I am a theoretical physicist working on quantum field theory and string theory. I have been educated in South Korea and United States. I worked as postdoctoral fellow and faculty member in US and also in South Korea.
Recently I joined BIMSA in quantum field theory and string theory group. My research interests are also on cosmology, black holes, particle phenomenology, geometry, representation theory, vertex operator algebras, categorical symmetries, and number theory.
