Introduction
Facing the complicated global economic and financial changes, this course applies the modern economics theory to tell the history of financial development in China, integrates the basic principles of finance and the financial practice of China, and rationally integrates micro-finance and macro-finance, forming a systematic and complete logical framework and knowledge system. It mainly includes five parts: currency, credit and finance; financial intermediary and financial market; monetary equilibrium and macro-policy; micro-mechanism of financial operation; financial development and stability mechanism. This course is intended for college students who need to understand and master financial knowledge systematically.
Lecturer Intro
Dr. Zhen Li is an assistant research fellow at the BIMSA. He is also a visiting research fellow at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China, and the International Monetary Institute, Renmin University of China. He was a postdoctoral fellow from 2020-2022 at the School of Data Science, Fudan University, and an assistant research fellow from 2013-2016 at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China. Dr. Li received his Ph.D. in Finance, M.A. in Statistics, and B.A. in Finance from the Renmin University of China, and B.E. in Software Engineering from the Nanjing University. He was a visiting scholar from 2019-2020 at the School of Business, George Washington University. His current research focuses on FinTech, commercial banking, and financial risk management, and other fields. Dr. Li has published more than 30 articles in some important academic journals such as Journal of Financial Research, Statistical Research, China Economic Review , etc.
