About the Speaker


Prof. Stanislaw Janeczko

Warsaw University of Technology

Professor Stanislaw Janeczko is the Director of the Center for Advanced Studies, Warsaw University of Technology and professor of Institute of Mathematics Polish Academy of Sciences. Since 1994 he is the Head of Department of Analysis and Singularity Theory in Warsaw University of Technology. He obtained his PhD from Warsaw University of Technology in 1981. He was Director of the Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center 2002-2014 and Director of the Institute of Mathematics Polish Academy of Sciences 2002-2010. He was awarded Orlicz Medal in 2002 and the Wazewski Prize in 2004. Professor Janeczko has published more than 100 papers. Research Interests: Singularity Theory, Differential Geometry, Differential topology, Classification, etc.
